Due to recent disappointing performances, our Club has decided to terminate the contract of coach Jonas De Roeck. While Jonas initially did a solid job stepping into the big shoes left by club legend Mark Van Bommel at the start of the season, he faced the challenge of leading a younger and less experienced squad while upholding the club’s high ambitions. However, the chemistry between the coach and players had clearly run its course. It wasn’t so much the results, but rather the poor performances in recent weeks that ultimately led to the departure of the former Antwerp player, who is now officially the ex-coach.
Andries Ulderink has already been appointed as the new head coach of RAFC. Having served as an assistant coach during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, he played a key role in the club’s recent successes. Ulderink will take charge on Thursday, from Sunday he will lead the team in the match against AA Gent. Welcome back, Andries, and best of luck! 🔴⚪️💪
