Another game between Antwerp and KV Mechelen, and a rematch of the cup final in April. Antwerp started very strong and controlled the first half, resulting in a 1-0 lead with a goal from Michel-Ange Balikwisha, but ended up with ten in the second half, due to a red card from Gastón Ávila. On top of that, an unfortunate own goal conceded a 1-1 draw after the regular 90 minutes. Antwerp however did better in an exciting penalty series, and can therefore put the first Supercup in the trophy cabinet 🇵🇪🏆!

Antwerp FC honours 100 year old shirts. Since 1923, Antwerp has been playing on the sacred ground of the ‘Bosuil Stadium’. To honour the iconic shirt in which Antwerp played in the 1920s/1930s – and gave Antwerp 3 national titles – the 2023-2024 season will be played in the same outfit. The first appointment? The Supercup on Sunday! Come on you reds 🔴⚪️
